Campus Ties takes copyright and IP protection seriously. This means we will take all necessary steps to protect your rights.
As a user, you are ultimately responsible for obtaining the rights to the items that you place in your Campus Ties pages. You must comply with the terms and conditions of all of the sites where the content originally appears. You are also responsible for obtaining the rights to any photos, videos or any other content that you embed in Campus Ties pages depending on how you are using them.
Campus Ties is a Web application (“Website”) that provides social media curation and publishing services, and is owned and operated by Venturit Inc., a Michigan corporation. By accessing, browsing, and/or using the Website, you are deemed to accept this Agreement and agree to be bound by it.
Campus Ties reserves the right to modify these terms of service (“Terms of Service”) at any time and will make reasonable efforts to notify users when it has done so. You agree that your use of the Website is subject to the Terms of Service then in effect. If you do not agree to be bound by all of the terms of this Agreement, please do not access, browse and/or use the Website.
Users must comply with all laws and regulations, and users affirm that they are legally able to enter into a contract for services under these terms.
Who Our Site is Meant For
Campus Ties is meant to be used only by who agree by these terms of service. It may not be used for purposes not in accordance with local, state, national or international law.
On Campus Ties, you create learning pages by curating content from other Web sites and through the public APIs of other Web services and from content located on your computer. You, and not Campus Ties, are entirely responsible for all content that you use on Campus Ties. While Campus Ties enables you to search for and curate content from other sites, we do not control the content posted and do not guarantee the accuracy or integrity of such content. Campus Ties cannot be held liable for any damages arising from the use of such content.
Campus Ties strives to comply with the terms of service of other third-party APIs and sites being used within its platform. Campus Ties only provides links to the rich media content and stores rich media content such as video, photos or other similar content can on our servers that have been uploaded by users. We bear no responsibility for the content, nor liability for the reposting of the content, either uploaded to our servers or contained in those links.
Campus Ties does not endorse, support, represent or guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy or reliability of any pages created on Campus Ties, nor does Campus Ties endorse any opinions expressed using our site. You acknowledge that any reliance on material posted via Campus Ties will be at your own risk.
By using Campus Ties, you agree not to create pages that include illegal or libelous language and you are solely responsible for the repercussions of posting such material. Campus Ties reserves the right to alter or delete any content on the site, and to cancel the accounts of any user who fails to comply with these Terms of Service.
Compliance with the Terms and Conditions of Other Sites
You must comply with the Terms and Conditions of the sources that you curate content from.
Rights to Your Content
Campus Ties allows you to embed and post content on the Service, including photos, videos, documents, comments, and other materials. Anything that you post or otherwise make available on our Service, including all Intellectual Property Rights in such content, is referred to as “User Content.” You retain all of your rights in all of the User Content you post to our Service.
When we refer to “Intellectual Property Rights” in these Terms, we mean all patent rights; copyright rights; moral rights; rights of publicity; trademark, trade dress and service mark rights (and associated goodwill); trade secret rights; and all other intellectual property and proprietary rights as may now exist or hereafter come into existence, and all applications for any of these rights and registrations, renewals and extensions of any of these rights, in each case under the laws of any state, country, territory or other jurisdiction.
If your Campus Ties page is public, then you grant each user of the Website a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to access your Content through the Website, and to use, reproduce, distribute, and display such Content as permitted through the functionality of the Website and under these Terms of Service.
You may close your account at any time by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend your User account or access to the Service for any reason, without notice or liability to you, including if in our sole determination you violate any provision of our Terms, or for no reason. Upon termination of your use of the Service, you continue to be bound by our Terms.
All services and content on the site are provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Campus Ties can monitor activity and content on the site but has no obligation to do so, and offers no guarantees for the accuracy or quality for any media on its site or from other media sources and sites that appears on our site or any sites where Campus Ties is used.
By accepting these Terms of Service, you agree that Campus Ties, its directors, employees, agents, subsidiaries, affiliates and other partners shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from use of the service, any damages for loss of use, profits or goodwill or any other punitive or consequential damages of any kind relating to any use of content on Campus Ties or distributed on other sites through the application.
